We went to the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 26 April. We went to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. Mrs Tay took us to the Tree House. We had to cross a suspension bridge to get there. The bridge swung as we walked on it but I could keep my balance easily. We climbed the tree house and slid down on the slide. It was fun!
Next, we looked for the hundred-year-old tree. It had no leaves. All that was left was a huge trunk. It was struck by lightning in 2002. It made me feel sad.
After that, we took turns to step onto the Floating Platform. I loved standing on it. Then we looked at the different aquatic plants. I touched the water lettuce leaves and found that the leaves have a waxy surface so water will roll off the surface, preventing the plant from sinking.
After spending some time at the pond, we went to the Magic of Photosynthesis. We turned the crank to make a mist appear. Then we went to the A-Mazing-Play. It was a maze made of plants. It was easy making our way out again as we just re-traced our route.
After that, we went to the Sensory Garden. We smelled different types of plants, such as the lemon grass and pandan wangi. There was also a plant with leaves that have a hairy texture. However, we couldn't find out its name. Mrs Tay took a picture of me smelling the rose cactus.
I enjoyed my learning journey very much.

At Botanic Gardens, I went to a certain place called the Jacob Ballas garden. My class by bus and I took a picture along the way. It took about thirty minutes. There was a tree at the entrance carved by someone. It looked like many people. There were over 500 of them
It was cool. First, my class and I went to DYE-ing plants. They had some plants that we use to make dyes. An example is the
. Next, we went to the Potting Garden. There were some plants there. Then we went to a tree house. It was pretty interesting. They had slides there. Some of the girls were afraid as it was long. I went first. Then they stated to slide too. We then went to the Floating Platform. It was exciting. I had difficulty doing some work. We could not find an answer. We went to Tree and Lightning. The work was easy to complete. Then I went to The Magic of Photosynthesis. We took awhile to complete some work there. We crossed a suspension bridge to reach the cave. From the cave we proceeded back to the floating platform as I mentioned earlier on, we could not find the answer. Then over there, my teacher found the answer on a signboard. We then copied it and went back to the entrance and waited for the others to come back.
We ate some food, boarded the bus and went back to school happily. It was truly an exciting experience.
