Assembly Talk on 3 R's (by Shawn Goh)

Today, we listened to a talk on the environment. The speaker talked about the 3 R's, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. She told us what are the things that can be recycled and what cannot be recycled.

Food, sweet wrappers, laminated paper and kitchen utensils are examples of things that cannot be recycled. Old clothes and unwanted assessories, like old handbags and necklaces, can be reused by other people. Aluminium cans, plastic containers, unwanted paper and rinsed milk cartons can be recycled.

The rubbish that we throw away are burnt in the incinerator. Recycling is less harmful to the environment.
