Spelling Update
For the spelling quiz on Monday, please learn the spelling of the words in the second column.

This week, we started on a new unit in English: 'Here's How to Get There'. We learnt the use of imperatives and prepositions in instructions. Here's a game on the theme.

Oral Examination
Remember to practise for your oral examination which is on Tuesday, 23 Sep. Please practise all the 3 components:
1) Reading (5 marks)
2) Picture Conversation (5 marks)
3) Conversation (5 marks)
Do use the notes given to you for practice too. In addition, go to the portal to listen to the recordings (student/student resources/English oral comonents). Right click on the file and 'save target as...' onto your own desktop.
Here are some more conversation topics for practice:
1) What is your favourite sport?
2) Talk about one of your school values.
3) Do you have a pet? If you do not have a pet, what kind of pet would you like to have?
4) What is your favourite subject?
5) Talk about a family outing you have enjoyed.

Mental Maths Competition Round 2 Results
Congratulations to our pupils who qualified for Round 3 in the Mental Maths Competition. These are their results for Round 2:

Story-telling Competition

Holiday Homework Update
I'm glad that more pupils have completed their online maths assignment. Now, 12 pupils have submitted the assignment online. However, Sherman and Hmu have forgotten to attach the excel file, so, Sherman and Hmu, please re-submit your assignment.

1) online Maths assignment (Bar Graphs)
So far, only 4 pupils have submitted their work (Bonus points for Zhi Yi, Zhi Sheng, Zhi Yong, Shawn Goh in Term 4). Remember, go to the portal/Online assignments/Mathematics/Bar Graphs and save the attachment on your own desktop. Then complete the assignment. After that, submit the assignment by clicking on online assignment submission/Mathematics and attaching the file. Do use Mrs So's notes for guidance.
2) online English Forum (The Planets)
We had a lively online discussion on Monday, 7-8 p.m. However, only 11 pupils logged on. If you had missed the session, you can still do the assignment. Click on the class announcements and follow the instructions. You can still contribute to the forum by replying to my post.
3) Revise times tables
You can revisit the multiplication games sites on the blog.

Our Singapore through Shawn's eyes
Shawn Goh won the second prize in 'Your Singapore Through Their Eyes' writing competition. In fact, the top 3 prizes went to pupils from Endeavour Primary!
Shawn has won for himself these fabulous prizes: a shoebag containing various stationery, e.g. highlighters, laser pointers, notebooks, pens, etc., a slingbag, a certificate endorsed by the principal and a $50 Borders book voucher!
